James Elcocke-Harris, Director of the Vanuatu Investment Migration Bureau (VIMB) and Honorary Consul for Vanuatu to the United Kingdom, has been published in a global investment guide to citizenship and residency produced by Country Reports in collaboration with Newsweek.

The investment guide, which details the number of available citizenship by investment programs, highlights that the vast number and range of programs that now exist require scrutiny to ensure that potential citizenship-holders as well as governments around the world adhere to good practices.

The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the positive features of remote working and the flexibility it allows, therefore meaning that programs such as the Vanuatu Citizenship by Investment initiative can allow for optimum global mobility.

In his article, James highlights that the Vanuatu Citizenship by Investment program holds its own against programs from the Caribbean that have been around for far longer, and that its straightforward and optimal application process makes it ideal for prospective citizens who are “asset-rich and time-poor”. Because of these features, a number of Pacific nations are attempting to emulate Vanuatu’s success.

In addition to these features, the Vanuatu Investment Migration Bureau has a demonstrable track record in assisting candidates gain citizenship with quick turn-around times and ensures to tailor the application process to suit the needs of each candidate.

James further notes that VIMB’s presence in London and Dubai will assist in ensuring that the government of Vanuatu remains engaged with international institutions and to further increase the presence of Vanuatu overseas.
